01
Size: the biggest difference
The OPTIQ is Cadillac’s compact electric SUV, and the LYRIQ is its midsize sibling. At 190 inches long, the OPTIQ is roughly 7 inches shorter than the 196.7-inch LYRIQ, with a wheelbase almost 6 inches shorter. That makes it easier to maneuver in tight Seattle parking garages and on busy streets in downtown Renton and Bellevue.
The LYRIQ’s extra length shows up inside: 28 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 60.8 cubic feet with them folded, vs. 26 and 57 in the OPTIQ. Both seat five, so the choice usually comes down to how much gear, luggage or sports equipment you carry.
02
Range and charging in the Puget Sound
Both have more than enough range for daily driving around Renton, Kent, Tukwila and Seattle. With rear-wheel drive, the LYRIQ’s EPA-estimated 326 miles edges out the OPTIQ’s 317. With all-wheel drive, which many Northwest drivers prefer for rain and mountain trips, the OPTIQ is rated at 303 miles and the LYRIQ at up to 319.
On road trips the LYRIQ charges faster: up to 190 kW, adding about 86 miles in about 10 minutes, vs. 150 kW and about 81 miles for the OPTIQ. At home, both come standard with an 11.5 kW onboard charger, with 19.2 kW available.

03
Power and performance
The LYRIQ is stronger at every level. A rear-wheel-drive LYRIQ makes 365 horsepower vs. 315 in the OPTIQ, and with dual-motor all-wheel drive the LYRIQ makes 515 horsepower to the OPTIQ’s 440.
Both offer a V-Series version. The OPTIQ-V makes 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, while the LYRIQ-V makes 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft.
